CPD Course for teachers and trainee teachers

I'm teaching the hands-on assists segment of this CPD for teachers on Saturday  afternoon 26th feb.
It's a live and in person training working with other people physically - especially important for the many teachers who have felt isolated during the last few years of intermittent lockdown, and navigating around changing classroom etiquette! We'll include discussion on assisting post pandemic and of course using assists to empower and encourage your students, as well as keeping yourself grounded and safe. Then of course lots of practical time to try out techniques.
A great refresher and excellent for those who did their trainings online.

We are kicking off our Continuing Professional Development programme in February with a 16-hour course to Enrich and Develop Your Yoga Teaching Skills, led by Shira HessEryck Brahmania and Jayne Miller.

The course is fully accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals and is open to all yoga teachers and trainees who would like to top-up or refresh their skills.

It will be held across the weekend of the 25th/26th/27th of February, so perfect if you need to make it fit around work and other commitments!

SUMMER SOLSTICE 108 SALUTATIONS FOR CHARITY
Celebrate the Summer Solstice by creating your own inner solar source of heat and spreading warmth through the community. Completing (or trying to get through) 108 Sun Salutations is a traditional way to mark Midsummer, and it's especially potent when the benefits of your efforts are for others. London yogis near Hackney come and join a 108 Sun Salutations event this Sunday, June 23rd, at St Matthias Church, Butterfield Green, N16. Proceeds all go to Hackney MIND. There will be different teachers switching in to keep it fresh and stop you from flagging - though if you need to rest and sit some out, that is fine too ;)

For more information see the Facebook page. Or email yogaforhackneymind@gmail.com

Some of the entry donations have been put to good use already,

Pregnancy yoga is designed to help alleviate some of the common discomforts that can creep in during pregnancy, with tips for breathing and relaxation techniques and postures useful in labour, as well as throughout pregnancy. Looking at life from another angle
I love being upside down, it's instantly revitalising - all that fresh blood and oxygen travelling around the body! An inversion can be lying with your feet up (Vipariti Karani) or dangling from a rope or someone's feet (as in acro yoga), or just being in a standing forward bend. Though of course it can also mean handstands, headstands and arm balances. Want to find out more? I have an inversions workshop at Yoga Junction on the 28th of Jan. Come along - all levels welcome. See the workshop page for more details.
